Soak up the glorious colours of nature and learn to create striking abstract shapes including Kate’s signatures stripes, pebbles, and blocks. In this workshop you'll learn how to use organic watercolour shapes to form decorative abstract designs in a colour palette of your choice. You'll learn various watercolour techniques and decorative ideas to help you create your very own, unique piece that combines watercolour, inks details, and accents of metallics. You’ll use your own inspiration and Kate’s portfolio of abstract designs and patterns. All materials will be provided but please feel free to bring your own favourite materials or brushes if you wish. This class is suitable for total beginners through to experienced artists.

Rebecca Leach is an artist, author, and tutor based in Hertfordshire, UK. She founded her brand, Essoldo Design, in 2020 and since then has been lucky enough to have built a community of over 250,000 social media followers, sold her work in more 35 countries worldwide, and licensed products across the UK, Europe, and the USA. Her best-selling book, Creative Abstract Watercolour, was published in 2024 and is now available in seven languages. Her second book, Creative Abstract Mixed media, was published in October 2025.She is also well known as a fabric designer with her first collection with Windham fabrics comprised of 22 designs available worldwide (now sold-out), her second collection ‘Flora & Form’ launches in stores in January2026.Much of her work is inspired by nature, from flowers and greenery to gemstones and jewels. She’s obsessed with embellishment (as her jewellery collection will pay testament), so her work often features a myriad of dots, decorations, and most importantly gold!
