Mrs B's Mixed Media Weekender is back!
About Mrs Bertimus,
first of all I just want to say its a total pleasure to welcome Mrs Bertimus back to Hope & Elvis
an outstanding artist who brings a little bit of magic (record player & Cake!)
Mrs Bertimus studied fashion and textiles at Saint Martin’s School of Art and enjoyed three glorious years of making completely un-wearable garments.
She has taught in Art Education for over twenty-five years and loves sharing techniques and eating lots of cake in her workshops.
Mrs B paints, collages, draws and stitches and loves to weave in her daft little stories when the fancy takes her.
This weekend workshop is all about experimentation and exploration.
We will play with a wide variety of materials and techniques to create lots of sample pieces that will feed your own creative practice in the future.
I truly believe that the most effective way to learn about your own creativity is by playing, and this workshop will encourage you to work at your own pace, in your own way, and is suitable for any level of experience.
You can work in an abstract, semi-abstract, or representational manner (or all three!) The workshop will be led by the materials and processes themselves, so the outcomes will be completely unique to yourself and your own creative voice.
You will be invited to bring your own favourite materials if you wish but there will be plenty to investigate in the studio.
I’m so looking forward to this weekend of chat, laughter and creative messiness!
