About the workshop:
2-Day Creative Workshop - Playful, Expressive, Experimental
Join artist and printmaker Fiona Wilson for a relaxed and hands-on two-day workshop focused on combining drawing with simple printmaking techniques. Working from still life arrangements of flora, fruit and vegetables, you’ll explore shape, line and mark-making through a series of playful and structured exercises.
The workshop will begin with drawing from observation before moving into print-based methods such as stencilled mono printing, stamping, and mixed media approaches. The aim is to help you develop a personal visual language through experimentation, with an emphasis on process rather than perfection
What you'll do:
* Make expressive drawings from natural forms like fruit and vegetables
* Learn simple, effective printmaking techniques including mono-printing and stamping
* Experiment with layering, texture, and mixed media
* Focus on shape, line and composition to develop your work
* Build confidence in trying new approaches in a supportive environment
This course is ideal for anyone with some experience in drawing, painting or mixed media who’d like to explore print in a looser, more contemporary way. It’s a chance to try out new techniques, play with materials, and begin to build a body of work you can continue developing.
